Life at CommunityAd – It’s a Yes kinda week!
It has been a fantastic week for everyone here in the office, for so many reasons, but the main reason being the fact it’s a yes kinda week! Why has it been a yes kinda week? Read our blog below to find out more!
It has been a flying week in sales so a round of applause to each and every person in our sales department. Special mention to Maria AND to Dom for both beating their personal best in sales this week! A huge well done to you both as I know this was no easy task! And congrats to our wonderful sales manager Kat too for getting the team to hit team target this week! It is great to see our sales team doing so well throughout the pandemic… it’s a yes from our advertisers and an absolute testament to the effective advertising we provide to see so many local businesses continuing to advertise or coming on-board to advertise with us. If you’re looking to get something advertised give us a call on 01843 523030 or drop us an email to email@example.com
It has been a very busy week in regards to our website and online presence. We are constantly implementing further improvements to our site to improve functionality for our visitors and this week a lot of time was spent on SEO and excitingly we have a few changes in the form of a redesign of our homepage so hopefully in a couple weeks you will all notice the difference and it’s a yes from you!
As always, our fantastic editorial team have been busy reaching out and connecting with the community. This week Matt continued speaking to individuals for exciting upcoming features including Herne Bay’s Kitesurfing 2024 Paris Olympian hopeful Francesca Maini as well as Nic Powley from Skate Pharm, Margate where he updated us with the exciting news of the new skatepark plans.
Alice spoke to Amy Redmond from Margate Pride about the fantastic beauty pageant they hosted and how ‘queer joy is an act of resistance’. Yes!
Callum spoke to local Whitstable artist Seagull man not only about his artwork (which gets a huge yes from us) but how he got the name from a local 6-year-old fan!
Callum also spoke to singer-songwriter Georgia Train who has shot a number of music videos in Rye and has also written songs for the Kaiser Chiefs! Yes, to celebs!
In other news, we featured at this weeks Faversham Youth Summer Day alongside our media partner Radio Faversham. With over 100 attendees before 11am and the event only starting at 10am…it’s a yes to the fantastic free event from the Faversham community!
Deal, Hamsey AND Faversham have all been sent to our printers this week so our thanks as always to production and our graphic designers! You make our work look so beautiful and do it with such ease! It’s a yes from us!
And finally, onto THE most exciting news we’ve all been buzzing about this week. Our wonderful colleague Niki is popping the question today with THE most beautiful ring in London at the Van Gogh Alive, Immersive Art Exhibition! We are all confident it’s a yes and we are all so very happy for you! We can’t wait to hear all about it on your return to work!!
So that’s it, we have enjoyed our week yes and we are all proud of what we have achieved! Next blog will be up 3rd September as I’m on annual leave next Friday I’m afraid! Matt and I will be on our first holiday for the year which involves luring monkeys to my car with bananas so I can attempt the ‘monkey on the car’ skit in honour of Georgia’s favourite Youtube video then proceeding to chase monkeys away from my car because they’re savagely defecating and snapping my car aerial in demand for the said bananas. For now, look after yourselves, I will miss updating you all on our shenanigans next week and more importantly I will be missing my wonderful work family. I hope I make it out of the safari alive and I’ll speak to you soon!
