The Arundel Players Present Stones in his Pockets – Running from 1st – 6th April 2024

ussex, UK – The Arundel Players announce its upcoming production of Stones in His Pockets, written by Marie Jones and directed by Dawn Smithers. The play will run from April 1 to 6, 2024, at 7.30 PM at The Priory Theatre in Arundel.

Stones in His Pockets is a comedic yet poignant story set in a small rural town in Ireland where a Hollywood film is being shot. The play follows Charlie Conlon and Jake Quinn, two extras working on the film, as they navigate the ups and downs of their community and the film industry. When a tragic incident occurs, Charlie and Jake find themselves in the spotlight, assuming various roles to tell the story.

The cast are working hard to bring a riveting two-hander that explores themes of comedy, theatricality, and the clash between idealised Irish stereotypes and harsh realities. Stones in His Pockets has captivated audiences worldwide with its unique narrative and memorable characters. Dawn Smithers, Chairman and Director of the play comments “One of the reasons I love this play is that as a Director it is extremely challenging directing just two actors who between them are playing 14 different roles”.

The show follows the sell-out production of Dracula the Bloody Truth directed by Tony Hudson in February which had audiences entertained throughout with a cast of seven talented actors.  The Stones in his pockets promises to be as captivating.

Tickets are £14.00 for the production and are available for purchase on the Arundel Players website at www.arundelplayers.co.uk or by calling the box office at 07523 417926.
