A bit about Bramley & Sherfield

Bramley is a village and parish in Hampshire with a population of 3,348*. Bramley is known for its military training camp, which is a valuable haven for wildlife, home to badgers, deer and pheasant. One of the villages oldest public houses is The Bramley Inn, which opened in 1897 (as The Six Bells). Bramley also has a Village Bakery, Village Hall, Railway Station, Primary School and Church. Sherfield on Lodden is a village and civil parish in Hampshire with a population of 1,505*. Sherfield has three schools, three Churches and a Baptist Chapel. In 2016 the civil parish, Sherfield Park separated to form a parish of their own. British champion showjumper Fred Welch lived in Sherfield on Loddon and holds the record for the first British man to win the prestigious Puissance at Olympia in 1977. Fred’s funeral was held at St Leonards Church in April 2010. *numbers according to 2011 population census
