Margate Football Club is Thanet’s leading non-league side. Currently competing in the Bostik League, The Gate play at Hartsdown Park where their friendly and welcoming facility hosts hundreds of local football fans and families who support their side on a weekly basis. With a 3G pitch and five-a-side pitches open to the public, Hartsdown is home to many besides the first team who play football at the club. Margate’s Clubhouse has a fully licensed bar and with plenty of complimentary parking on site, offers a space for local people and businesses to host private events and parties too.

Academy FM Thanet is the Isle’s independent local community radio station broadcasting 24 hours a day all year round. We’re also registered as a charity.

We were launched in 2010 and have since then provided round the clock news, information and music for the people of Thanet.

Broadcasting from our studios within The Royal Harbour Academy Upper site, we provide communication skills and confidence building training for local people.

We see this as one of our core responsibilities within the community and believe through our work we will allow local groups and individuals the ability to grow and prosper.

Programming on Academy FM Thanet is tailored to our diverse audience and is delivered by a team of volunteer presenters and newsreaders.

Academy FM Thanet is always on the lookout for new volunteers to join the team that will continue to deliver ‘local radio by local people’.

Sharing the same vision and commitment, CommunityAd and Academy FM have every faith that our partnering will further enhance and develop the services that we both provide the community with.

Dover Community Radio (DCR) is available on104.9FM and online delivering a radio station for Dover, Deal, Sandwich and the surrounding villages. DCR also offer training in the medium and promote local communities. We are a not-for-profit organisation with a focus on not only encouraging a sense of community within the area but also to positively promote White Cliffs Country to visitors.

Deal Radio has become one of the top ten street side radio stations in the country and now sits firmly in the internet radio ether. Our community of dedicated volunteers come from all walks of life. We welcome enthusiastic radio hobbyists who have an interest in learning about the industry, and offer them the opportunity to volunteer and receive training to a professional standard. Whether their passion is to present their own shows or work behind the scenes as a technical producer or editor, we aim to develop their skills and help them pursue their aspirations while giving them full editorial control.

In addition, we collaborate with a diverse range of industry professionals who either create their own shows or serve as advisors to help guide our mission of building a strong entertainment and community base. Our professional partners come from various backgrounds, including the music industry and the business sector, bringing their valuable expertise and insights to help us achieve our goals.

Our new high street location at 69a High Street, Deal, CT14 6EH serves as the perfect hub for our passion for music of all kinds. With our purpose-built HQ Space, we have the opportunity to engage and interact with the local business and music community like never before. Our venue offers an intimate space for local, independent, and unsigned artists to showcase their talent and bring people together, creating an unparalleled experience for music enthusiasts in the area all while being broadcast to our worldwide audience.
