Medway Open-Top Bus returns for Summer 2018

Summer Reading Challenge 2018

Medway Council has again partnered with Arriva Buses to provide a summer guided tour on the Medway open-top bus for 2018, all around the sights of Rochester, Chatham, and Gillingham.

Stops on the Medway open-top bus will include the Medway Visitor Information Centre, Rochester railway station, Chatham bus station, Fort Amherst, The Royal Engineers Museum, The Historic Dockyard, Dockside Outlet Centre, and Chatham railway station. The 2018 tour will run daily between 23rd July and 2nd September, inclusive.

The bus will run hourly from 11am each day, with departures on the hour until 4pm from the rear of Rochester Visitor Centre in Corporation Street (opposite Rochester Station), but you can start your journey at any of the stops on the route.

You can either take the complete tour lasting 45 minutes, or hop off at any stop and continue the tour later, as tickets are valid all day.

The recorded commentary will point out all places of interest and give an introduction to over a thousand years of history in the Medway towns.

An all-day ticket costs £4.50 for adults, £2.50 for concessions and £2.50 for children.
