The inaugural We Love Hythe Life Food Festival will be held at Hythe Green on the August bank holiday weekend, 28th, 29th and 30th August from 11am-7pm Saturday and Sunday, 11am-6pm Monday.  The three-day event consists of over 70 stalls and is set to be the biggest and best food festival to date. Entry to the festival is free, with designated parking available nearby.

Organised by Hythe Life magazine, the festival’s ethos centres around local, sustainable shopping and eating. Throughout the pandemic, it has been your local businesses, run by your friends, family and neighbours who have found it hardest to continue, and we at Hythe Life hope that this event is an opportunity for us to give our community a helping hand to get back on track. As such, it will showcase a wide range of gourmet food and drink producers, most of whom are local to Kent and many of whom are located within a 25-mile radius of Hythe. From the international to the best of British, the We Love Hythe Life Food Festival is a festival to celebrate diversity, culture and great food and drink with over 50 stalls dedicated to cuisine from across the globe. With preserves and pickles to cakes and bakes, spicy snacks to sweet treats, the bustling marketplace of artisan producers, restaurateurs and high-end street food sellers will offer a foodie feast to suit every budget, taste and dietary need. Guests are welcome to enjoy their purchases in our picnic areas, but we also have lots of grounds surrounding the festival, please bring a picnic blanket.

Hemanshu Patel, managing director of Hythe Life explains that “It has been a difficult few years for festivals, we are glad we are able to operate this year and support the independent food industry along with raising the profile of Hythe”

With a live music stage showcasing our rising stars and local talent, a collection of cocktails, a craft beer tent, Festive-ales (locally brewed by Romney Ales) and Pimms & Prosecco to quench the adults’ thirst, children are sure to be kept entertained with a range of funfair rides and a chance to explore a working fire engine from Kent Fire and Rescue.

For those who appreciate the crafts, there will be a range of stalls dedicated to take-home products including handmade soaps, jewellery and bags, as well as Artwork by Willow Fine arts.

To keep the Bank Holiday mood going, an eclectic mix of bands and solo artists will be taking to the stage across all three days of the festival to guarantee visitors are supplied all day with a blend of musical styles including jazz, blues and acoustic sets.
