Following the soaring success of this week’s (August 18th) fabulous Faversham Youth Summer Day CommunityAd checked in with the delightful and always professional Brooke Williams, who delights in telling us there’s the chance to do it all over next week.

So Brooke tell us why all our readers should be pencilling the 25th of August firmly into their diaries?

Hi Faversham Community Ad! I am very happy to announce on behalf of the Faversham Youth Council that we are running another Faversham Youth Summer Day on the 25th for the young people of Faversham to enjoy during the school summer holidays! We are lucky enough to have a wide variety of Faversham Youth service providers/enablers who will be attending to provide the young people with fun activities and youth information about services and clubs that are available to the young people in Faversham!

On Wednesday 25th August we will be based at the Faversham Recreation Ground, located near the Skatepark and Play area from 10 am till 3:30 pm!

What can we expect from the days?

Well, I do not want to spoil the surprise! But all our attendees’ stalls are very exciting, and they will be there to provide some fun activities and information to all the young people/families who will be attending!

On Wednesday 25th August, our attendees can find fun activities such as Frisbee Golf, Flight Simulator, Arts and Crafts, Soft Archery, Table Tennis, Air Hockey, Retro Style Games, Bike Marking, the Faversham Youth Trail and much more!

We’ll also have a wide range of Faversham Youth Information available for the young people to take away, such as information about services and clubs available in Faversham. There will also be the opportunity to collect some freebies along the way!!

Why are community events such as the Faversham Youth Summer Day so important now more than ever given the last 16 months?

2020/21 was a hard year for everyone. However, we have recognised that it has been extremely hard for the youth, in the sense of being unable to socialize with their friends and unable to do things we all enjoyed at a young age. Our Faversham Youth Summer Days will not only aim to provide the young people of Faversham with some free outdoor activities. But to support our local youth service providers/enable, who can then inform the young people of Faversham about all the amazing things they do!

I imagine the youth council have been very busy preparing this, what else have they been up to?

Our Faversham Youth Working Group have been hard at work in developing future Faversham Youth Council Projects and Events. I do not want to spoil anything yet. But I would recommend that you follow our Faversham Youth Council Facebook Page to hear about all the latest updates/news!

Anything else you would like to add at all?

On behalf of our Faversham Youth Working Group Members, we would like to encourage the young people of Faversham (Under 16’s) and families to come along to our Faversham Youth Summer Days, to learn more about what Faversham has to offer to the youth community.

Signing Out, for Now, Brooke!
