Please can you make sure the Practice has your mobile telephone number and your email address so that they can contact you and continue to keep you informed. The practice sent out 11,000 out of a possible 18,000 texts and emails with corona virus information to patients.

Call NHS 111 if you need to speak to someone. Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.

 Annual General Meeting

The PPG AGM was held on the 20^th of February. We hold our PPG meetings monthly and would welcome new members to join the PPG to ensure that we are reflecting the patient’s views to the practice and PCN.

Pharmacy Survey and Update

The response to the pharmacy questionnaire shows how much of a key matter this is for us all. In total there were 533 responses, with 128 online and 210 detailed responses describing problems people have had. The responses are now being collated and analysed.

We would encourage you to look at the poster describing the process of the prescription issue, and the chart with details of the various types of prescription. Details are available in the surgeries and on the website.

Allergy Season

April is the start of the allergy season which includes Hay Fever. Remember- for many treatments you can go directly to your pharmacy where they can advise on several medicines to deal with your symptoms.

Practice Updates

We have been asked by the practice to stress the importance of the of shingles vaccine for the over 70s.  It is a simple immunisation and may assist in avoiding this potentially very painful disease.

The practice is organising an event in April at Hook with CAB, Alzheimer’s, Mind, and British Red Cross as an open day event. Dates will be confirmed shortly, so please look out for details at the surgeries and on Facebook.
