Bearsted Golf Club members at the Hinge Trophy Final

Two members of Bearsted Golf Club made it into Royal St. George’s Hinge Trophy event which took place on the 25th January 2020. The competition is run by the Bearsted Golf Club who were established to promote, administer, and encourage the development of, and participation in, amateur golf in Kent. They provide assistance to all the clubs throughout Kent in the management of the game and within the county, they have the responsibility of overseeing official handicaps.

The Royal St George’s Hinge Trophy was the final and after having made it the final of the competition following a superb day of qualification recently at Prince’s Golf Club with the Hinge Trophy competitors playing the beautifully presented Himalayas and Shore Courses, the final 40 qualifiers were drawn, David qualifying 12th and Philip 20th.

In the finals, Philip Judge and David Vidgen played their very best in the Hinge Trophy at the Royal St George’s Golf Club, Philip Judge came 34th and David Vidgen came 37th out of the 40 qualifying players.

Keith Osbourne, the general manager, went to watch the competition as a spectator and was pleased with the results of the day.
