Table tennis becomes a permanent feature with LoveAshford

This spring LoveAshford are working in partnership with Ashford Borough Council and Park Mall shopping centre to bring a new fun activity to the heart of the town centre.

After the success of the free table tennis tables at last year’s ‘Splashes of Summer’ event, which took place in July and August, two brand new table tennis tables will be placed in Park Mall shopping centre, adding to the existing family games area, from Monday 8 April and will be free to play and accessible to all.

On Thursday 11 April the table tennis tables will be officially launched, and to celebrate, Ashford Table Tennis Club will be running two free masterclasses. Learn the basics and practise your technique in the Beginner’s Workshop from 11am-12.30pm. Then from 12.30pm until 2pm put your skills to the test and play against others in some fun group games.

Subject to severe weather conditions, the tables will be available every day, with bats and balls ready to collect from the Park Mall management suite on a Sunday and Monday, and from the One You shop in Park Mall on a Tuesday through to Saturday (which is currently located within Unit 2 next to Office Angels recruitment agency).
