Situations Vacant – Santa and Mrs Claus wanted at Kent Life

Kent Life

Award-winning visitor attraction Kent Life is advertising for new staff – their very own Santa and Mrs Claus.

The popular attraction, near Maidstone, is searching for two people to don the iconic costumes for its Christmas grotto experience during the festive season.

Reindeer-flying experience is not essential, but an authentic “ho-ho-ho” and a genuine love of Christmas is desired for the role of Santa Claus. He will also pose for photos, build an instant rapport with young families and hand out age-appropriate gifts to children while staying in character and wearing his famous red suit.

Kent Life’s General Manager Natalie Cox said: “We are looking for a confident gentleman with twinkly eyes, a kind and jolly nature and a love of all things Christmassy to bring our grotto experience to life!”

Aided by a team of elves, Mrs Claus will also be spreading Christmas cheer by inviting youngsters to make their very own gingerbread men in the cosy woodland kitchen.

The two roles are fixed-term contracts from November 27 to December 24 inclusive, and both will be employed on a flexible basis with shifts allocated between 9.30am and 7pm on a rota basis.

Due to the nature of this role, the successful applicants will be required to apply for approval with the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly CRB).

To apply for the position, send a CV and short covering letter to Events Manager Hollie Bourne, Kent Life, Lock Lane, Sandling, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 3AU or email [email protected]. All applications must be received by 12pm on November 5.
