The Sandwich Festival August 2021
Sandwich Festival 2021 takes place this year over the August Bank Holiday after a year off due to the pandemic. It is managed by a small group of volunteers who put together a big programme:
Friday evening 27th hosts a ticketed concert in St Mary’s, The Essential Jersey Boys, tickets from the Fleur de Lis
Then all Sandwich Festival 2021 events are free including:
Saturday 28th Stalls on the Guildhall Forecourt organised by the Martha Trust; Food and craft stalls on Market Street and Craft Fayre in St Peter’s Church; a Medieval Experience with encampment on the Quay Green then in the evening a Barn Dance in Market Street at 6.00pm.
Live music in the Kings Arms garden, lunchtime all 3 days.
Street concert organised by the Fleur de Lis with live bands all three days.
Sunday 29th there is an Italian cars meet on the Guildhall Forecourt, a food and craft market in Market Street; a Craft Fayre in St Peter’s Church; Medieval encampment on the Quay Green.
The very popular evening picnic concert takes place with three live bands on the Quay Green in the early evening, bring your own chairs and picnic.
Monday 30th The Sandwich Local market with regular stall holders are stalls on the Guildhall Forecourt as well as stalls in Market Street and the live music in Delf Street.
As usual the Classic Cars meet on the Quay Green dip; and the annual Rotary Club Duck Race will take place at 4.00pm.
