Mayor invites town to ‘sensational’ charity fundraiser

An evening of delectable food and great entertainment is in store at The Mayor’s Big Ticket Charity Event to raise funds for local charity, People Matter.

Tickets are now on sale for the event which is being held in the wonderful surroundings of the Grand Hotel, Eastbourne on Saturday, 28 March, 2020.

Guests will receive a glass of bubbly on arrival, followed by a three-course banquet with wine and live entertainment. There has already been generous donations to both the auction and raffle including tickets to the Royal Albert Hall, hotel overnight stays, a signed Chelsea football, quality jewellery, a 4.5kg bar of chocolate and much more.

The Mayor of Eastbourne, Steve Wallis, said: “The Big Ticket Charity Event is set to be a sensational evening enjoyed in the beautiful surroundings of The Grand.

“All funds raised will go to my chosen charity for the year, People Matter, which carries out vital work providing quality information, advice and practical help to jobseekers in the Eastbourne area.

“I look forward to welcoming as many people as possible there on the night.”

Ann Gillard, CEO of People Matter, added: “This is sure to be a fun evening at a splendid venue with great entertainment. Please do come along and support us.”
