Let’s discuss dementia event

Organisations and services that support people living with dementia will come together at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust’s (KCHFT) let’s discuss dementia event in October.

There will be presentations from dementia experts, a marketplace where you can learn more from NHS and voluntary sector services, and a question and answer session.

You’ll also have the opportunity to join 2.5million people across the UK and become a Dementia Friend. Dementia Friends is about changing the way people think, act and talk about dementia. The session is run by a Dementia Friends Champion, who is trained and supported by Alzheimer’s Society.

Participants will hear first-hand from someone living with dementia as they talk about their experience and you’ll have the chance to meet your local healthcare trust governor.

Let’s discuss dementia takes place on Tuesday, 15 October 2019 at Trinity Community Resource Centre*, St Mary’s Ave, Margate CT9 3TN, between 10.30am and 12.30pm.

*Parking at the venue is free. Broadstairs train station is approximately a six minute drive or a 40-minute walk. Margate train station is approximately a nine minute drive or a 50-minute walk. There is a bus stop opposite the venue in Northdown Park Road.
