Council awards advice service contract to Havant Citizen’s Advice

Havant Borough Council has awarded a new contract for Information and Advice to Citizens Advice starting from October 2019.

This will mean the organisation can continue to deliver free impartial information and advice to people who may be experiencing issues such as housing, welfare benefits and debt.

Havant Citizens Advice are located within Leigh Park Community Centre, Dunsbury Way, Leigh Park with outreach sites located throughout the borough.

Councillor Tim Pike, Deputy Leader and Cabinet lead for Planning Regeneration and Communities, said: “We are committed to helping the most vulnerable people in the borough and Havant’s Citizens Advice has an excellent record of supporting our residents. We look forward to working with them and other local partners to deliver this much needed service for our residents.”

Jon Stuart, Havant’s Citizen Advice Chief Executive added: “Citizens Advice Havant is delighted to have been awarded a new contract for the provision of advice services and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Havant Borough Council.

“Our team is fully committed to supporting the local community with the best possible help and guidance. We can all face problems that seem complicated or intimidating. At Citizens Advice, we believe no one should have to face these problems without good quality, independent advice.”
