Have your say on the Neighbourhood Plan

Ashford Borough Council is asking for residents in Boughton Aluph and Eastwell to have their say on the Neighbourhood Development Plan 2013-2030.

Boughton Aluph and Eastwell Parish Council has submitted the Neighbourhood Development Plan to the council and the next step is for consultation with residents and local businesses. Views must be submitted online at www.ashford.gov.uk/consultations. Comments must be received by 5pm on Friday 6 November.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic everyone is encouraged to have their say using the online portal. However, hard copies of the plan and comment forms are available through the Parish Council or the Planning Policy team.

Through the Localism Act of 2011, neighbourhood planning was introduced. This enables local communities to shape development and growth in their area through the production of a neighbourhood development plan, a neighbourhood development order or a community right to build order.
