Grab a Christmas bargain with free festive parking in Sevenoaks

Residents can make the most of their excellent town centres with free festive parking, over two weekends, in the run up to Christmas.

Sevenoaks District Council is offering some extra Christmas cheer by relaxing all charges in its car parks and on-street in Sevenoaks and Westerham on Saturdays 8 and 15 December.

Sencio Community Leisure is joining in too by waiving parking charges in the Sevenoaks Leisure Centre car park.

Parking will also be free in Blighs car park in Sevenoaks on Sundays 9 and 16 December to help spread the Christmas cheer. Parking is already free at weekends in the Council’s other car parks, including in Swanley.

The Council will continue to patrol the car parks and drivers will not need a ticket, but all other parking conditions will still apply, including the maximum stay. A temporary reduction in the maximum stay period, from four hours to three, will apply in Blighs. This will help maintain turnover in the Council’s most popular car park, in so doing further supporting the vitality of Sevenoaks town centre.

Cllr Matthew Dickins, the Council’s Cabinet Member for Direct and Trading Services, says: “We’re delighted to once again offer this long-standing and much loved festive gesture of goodwill, enjoyed by residents, visitors and businesses alike.

“Complimentary all day parking in Sevenoaks will also be available in our car park on Gordon Road over these weekends to support workers in the town who need to park all day.”
