Christmas Gift & Food Fair Festive fun raises over £28,000 for Helen Rollason Cancer Charity!

Over 4,000 shoppers flocked to Chelmsford City Racecourse at the weekend (Saturday 24^th and Sunday 25^th November) for the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity Christmas Gift & Food Fair raising an incredible £28,000 for the charity!

The Fair is one of the region’s biggest and best Christmas shopping events with 120 independent retailers, who combined stocked a variety of items including gifts, homeware, jewellery, art, books, toys and much more.

Alongside the shopping stands, there were a range of popular food trucks and stalls, including The Giggly Pig Company, Spice Queen and Cheese & Pie Man, selling gastronomic treats to keep the foodies happy. Plus there were smiles all round with live entertainment provided by Dunmow Wind Band and the Braintree Male Voice Choir.

Special guest the Mayor of Chelmsford Yvonne Spence also attended the event and went home with lots of shopping bags!

Kate Alden, Helen Rollason Cancer Charity CEO said: “We’ve been absolutely blown away by the amount of visitors that we’ve had at this year’s Christmas Gift & Food Fair. We’ve received some fantastic feedback about the quality and variety of products on sale and everyone’s been really impressed with the venue at Chelmsford City Racecourse.

The weekend has raised over £28,000 for Helen Rollason Cancer Charity and it’s been wonderful to see so many people coming out to show their support. Thank you to all of our fantastic retailers, Volunteers and everyone who attended the event.”

This weekend, Helen Rollason Cancer Charity will be holding their Colchester Christmas Gift & Food Fair at Firstsite.
