What is Lark in the Park?
Lark in the Park is now in its 15th year and a fixture in the local communities summer plans, promising a huge programme that hosts something for every liking you will certainly not be disappointed when coming along. Lark in the Park is a gift to the community from local churches, providing a free event that has something for everyone.
Boasting venues for all ages, great hospitality. and a programme that runs every afternoon and evening regardless of the weather. It’s the perfect place to come to and make new friends, let your children play and to have a great evening out for free. All you need to do is turn up, register at the registration tent and join in the fun!
What’s On
Afternoons at Lark in the Park are full of activities for all ages! We have venues ranging from Toddlers groups for the young ones and Tea Rooms for those of us that want to take it slower. Whoever you are enjoy some time in the park and find a venue that suits you.
Site opens at 12.45pm each weekday
Fun Factory
Weekdays at 1.45pm- 3.45pm
Ages 0-4
Fun Factory at Lark is just what it says on the packet – a large tent filled with noise, laughter, fun and colour for toddlers and their families.
It’s the perfect place to come to and make new friends, watch and play with your kids, all for free. It offers a large tent filled with soft play activities, a new baby area, an out side garden for older ones to stretch their legs, bounce on the castle and trampoline, and get sand between their toes in the sand pit. For all those who love some art and crafts we have our outside tent, the ‘Messy Church’ zone, where the children can do a different craft orientated around a different story and theme each day. This means make space on the fridge for take home masterpieces!!
An outside buggy area is provided as space is limited so buggies are left outside the venue in a fenced area. A maximum of two family members can come in with each child and they have to be 16 and over.
HQ
Weekdays 1.45pm – 3.45pm
Ages 5-10
5…4…3…2…1… Blast Off with HQ this year at Lark. We are in the NEW adapted Big Top running a fun filled programme in search of strange planets, space cadets and new discoveries. We will be led by two bold captain’s apprentices battling it out for points on our spaceship, Freedom One.
HQ is for children aged 5-10yrs (Finished Reception Class to Year 5) and is the place to be this summer so do not MISS IT! We have a return of our regular exciting games, messy challenges, daily gunging and daring stories as we discover more about our loving God and his greatest and biggest adventure!

The Vibe
Ages 11-16
Weekdays 10.00am – 12.00pm and 1.45pm – 3.45pm
The Vibe is the best place to hang out this summer if you’re between 11 and 16, with loads happening and plenty of space to just chill.
There’s a lounge, Half Pipe, Consoles, Table Tennis, Pool table, café – and that’s inside! Outside; football cage, basketball, mini skatepark or just hang out in the garden area. In the evenings there’ll be silent disco, beach party and loads more so don’t miss out!

Vibe Evenings…
Everyday at 7:30pm the Vibe put on the best evening shin dig. There will be a silent disco, beach party and loads more so don’t miss out! Ask a member of the team for more information about what’s coming up.
Art Tent
Weekdays at 1.45pm – 3.45pm- All Ages (Under 11 with Adult)
Welcome back to another year at the Art Tent. The Art Tent is an incredible venue where you can come and enjoy being creative.
Whether you are on your own, with your friends, family or the children, there is something for everyone. From clay modelling to painting plates, bag decorating or our specialist workshops, we offer accessible art and you can take home whatever you create. Book in for an afternoon and have an experience you’ll never forget!
Adult workshops
We will also be running adult workshops where one of our skilled team will teach you a new craft or design method. These workshops are free and all you need to do is purchase the materials (or bring them with you).
To sign up, let one of the team members know and turn up on the day you have booked. (Limited spaces apply).
Park Life
Weekdays 1.45-4.00pm
Park Life is our amazing outdoor stage led venue for people of all ages to soak up the fun Lark in the Park atmosphere!
Our team will greet you with a warm welcome and are available to chat to everyone and can provide support if needed. So why not come and relax in the fun environment where you can enjoy free tea, coffee and refreshments whilst watching a variety of local acts from live music, dance groups, cooking demonstrations, games and much more!
This year we have different themed days for everyone to get involved in with many special guests and surprises along the way.
So don’t miss out on the jammed packed programme, special guests and all the entertainment and we can’t wait to see you there.
Tea Rooms
Weekdays 1.45-4.00pm
Over 60’s
The Tea Rooms is for anyone over 60.
Packed with a fun, entertaining programme, the Tea Rooms is the place to make new friends, build community and maybe try things you might never have done before.
With cream teas, going down memory lane, musical bingo and some good old fashioned sing ups….it’s going to be an amazing afternoon of fun and laughter. Our friendly team will be available to support and help you and will be able to chat to everyone. So why not bring yourself and your friends and be our guests at the afternoon Tea Rooms. We can’t wait to see you there!

All The Family!
Lark in the Park comes alive at the weekends to everyone with big bouncies, face painting, hair braiding, inflatable slides, Assault courses, Gladiator podiums and so much more.
For those taking it a little slower come along and enjoy our Park Life Live Stage hosting entertainment and music throughout the afternoon. The Art Tent, Fun Factory garden, The Vibe, The Chapel and Park Life will be open too. A whole lot of fun for everyone and its all free.
