Summer Seashore Safaris

Come and explore Thanet’s rocky chalk shore with its fascinating rock pool and shore life – with help on hand to identify your finds.

Suitable for 4 to 14s and all the family!

• Wed 16 Aug, 12pm – Margate Main Sands

Councillor Suzanne Brimm , Cabinet Member for Operational Services said: “The Seashore Safaris are one of the best family beach activities to happen in Thanet. They provide a great opportunity for all ages to explore the rock pools and identify our local shore life with help and knowledge of volunteers from the Thanet Coast Project. The whole of our shoreline is important for its marine and bird life and the safaris are a great chance to find out more about them.”

Each safari lasts up to 2 hours. Identification sheet and equipment provided.

Suggested donation of £1 per person (adults and children). Please wear suitable footwear for rock pools.
