‘Loneliness feels like a bit of a never ending day’
These were the words of Maxine, a Medway resident who has first-hand experience of feeling lonely. This Loneliness Awareness Week we’re reminded that there will be lots of people in our community who feel lonely. That’s why last Monday (17 June) we launched an exciting new campaign called A Better Medway – Together.
To kick start the campaign, we’re asking people to pledge to do something that connects them with their community. Pledges can be big or small, from taking time to talk to a neighbour to hosting a coffee morning. Individuals, businesses and organisations who pledge will receive a support and resource pack.
