Mythbuster: Can crisp packets be recycled?

Crisp packets are made from a mixture of plastic and foil, so cannot be recycled in your kerbside recycling collection. They should be placed in your general rubbish bin or taken to a special TerraCycle crisp packet recycling point. Once collected by TerraCycle, the crisp packets are separated by plastic type, cleaned and made into plastic pellets to make new recycled products.
