Capel-le-Ferne Wildlife

Capel-le-Ferne – One of the commonly noted pros of social media is that it allows people to stay connected, whether that is with an old school friend or someone you met on holiday who lives on the other side of the world, you can keep in touch with humans anywhere in the world.

One group locally are using the power of social media not to keep up to date with humans but animals. Capel-le-Ferne Wildlife is a group that revels in sharing pictures of local wildlife from caterpillars to foxes, from sunsets to full moons.

The group was originally started by a chap called Karl Jeffries but he gave up the responsibility to Nicky Vines who actively runs the group along with Kelly Batchelor.

CommunityAd had the pleasure of a quick chat with Nicky.

“We have a great selection of wildlife and birds that visit such as buzzards, my garden being a super garden for a variety of

birds; I look after a Robin with a damaged beak. We also have a Hedgehog page, called Capel Hedgehog Care”.

So, if you’re interested in local wildlife, either winged or prickly, and you are on social media why not check out one of the following groups on Facebook.

@capelhedgehogecare and @capel-le-ferne-wildlife
