BROGDALE COLLECTIONS Garden for Wildlife

Garden for Wildlife To be opened by BUMBLEBEE CONSERVATION TRUST

Sunday 21st July 11am

The Brogdale Garden for wildlife will be officially opened at this year’s Cherry Fair by Emma Lansdell from the Bumblebee Conservation Trust.

With a variety of different habitats, bee hotels and features, it is a great environment for wildlife visitors.

The garden has been designed as an outdoor classroom, learning environment and educational resource for schools and visitors young and old to learn about wildlife.

With 9 different habitats, including a pond, bog area, flower meadow and rockery the public can discover just how many visitors your garden can support.

Emma Lansdell, Project Manager of the Bumblebee Conservation Trust said: “The garden is a lovely addition to Brogdale, and the ethos of the wildlife garden mirrors the objectives of our Making a Buzz project, really highlighting what you can do with a small space.”

The project has been funded very generously by Woodruff Benton Foundation, Postcode Local Trust, Aviva Community Fund, Tory Family Foundation, The Henry Smith Charity, Greggs Foundation, The John Speden Lewis Foundation and The Liebreicht Foundation

Sara Smile, Operations Manager at Brogdale Collections said: “The garden education project has been an exciting opportunity to engage our visitors and raise awareness to the public. With the help of our loyal and committed volunteers the garden has blossomed into a wonderful resource packed full of wildlife.” For more information about the project or about supporting it, please contact us on 01795 536250”.
