Work due to start on new improvements to Braishfield Road in Romsey

Work to enhance walking and cycling routes along Braishfield Road in Romsey will start this autumn.

Councillor Rob Humby, Deputy Leader of Hampshire County Council and Executive Member for Economy, Transport and Environment, said: “The new footway will improve walking and cycling access between the new development at Abbotswood and the Sir Harold Hiller’s Arboretum, and the village of Braishfield.

“We have worked closely with Braishfield Parish Council, Test Valley Borough Council, local County Councillors, Sir Harold Hillier Gardens and the wider local community on this project, which is designed to make it easier for people to walk and cycle.”

Cllr Humby added: “We will of course try to keep disruption to a minimum, but people may experience some delays during these works, for which I apologise in advance.”
