Witnesses sought for assault in Gravesend

Police investigating a report of a serious assault in Gravesend are appealing for witnesses.

Kent Police was called at 4.55pm on Saturday 14 January 2017 to Christian Fields Avenue.

A man sustained a serious leg injury consistent with a stab wound and has been taken to a London hospital.

Officers attended with the National Police Air Service helicopter and carried out a search of the area.

Four people have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody.

Police remain at the scene as part of their ongoing enquiries.
