White Cliffs Walking Festival 2019

The festival, organised by the local White Cliffs Ramblers group, is now in its sixth year and is one of the top walking events of the year in the UK. Last year, over 1200 delighted walkers visited this historical area from the far-flung corners of the UK and abroad.

Date(s): Thursday 22nd – Wednesday 28th August 2019

Centred on the historic towns of Dover, Deal, Sandwich and Folkestone this week-long festival features around 40 walks ranging in length from 1 to 32 miles.

Whatever your ability or interest, we offer walks that will tempt you to discover our beautiful coast and nearby countryside.

Bring the children and join our smugglers walk, immerse yourself walking among the fascinating military fortifications or take in the delightful coastal views.

Most walks are FREE, although a voluntary contribution would be appreciated, please. A few of our special guided walks cost a very modest amount to cover the costs of specialist speakers.

Join challenging treks with The Long Distance Walkers Association or try our geocaching trail with the family.
