White Cliffs Country Tourism – Success Celebrated
White Cliffs Country tourism bosses are welcoming news that businesses in Dover District continue to lead the way with successes in a range of top tourism awards.
Recent successes include:
- Kent Tourism Awards – The Battle of Britain Memorial in Capel-le-Ferne won the Hidden Gem Award, (Small Visitor Attraction of the Year)
- Kent Tourism Awards – The White Horse in Dover won the Raising the Bar Award, (Tourism Pub of the Year)
- Tourism South East’s Beautiful South Awards – Greenhill Glamping at Alkham Court won a Gold Award for Glamping Business of the Year, and Alkham Court Farmhouse won a Gold Award for Bed & Breakfast of the Year 2017/18
- Tourism South East’s Beautiful South Awards – Molland Manor House in Ash won a Bronze Award for Bed and Breakfast of the Year 2017/18.
The winners in the Kent Tourism Awards will now get the chance to go forward to the national Awards for Excellence, run by VisitEngland, (subject to eligibility criteria).

We would like to congratulate all the local tourism businesses for making such an impact in these awards, and we look forward to ongoing success stories across the district into the future.”
