Chase the Rainbow for Charity – 5K Colour Run

Colour Run

A Kent cause is inviting everyone to chase the rainbow this summer at the family-friendly KM Colour Run on Sunday 22 August. Friends, families, coworkers and good causes are welcome to take on the 5K challenge with a technicolour twist at Betteshanger Park near Deal.

The event is not a race; the emphasis is on getting active and having fun so runners will not be timed. Participants can walk, jog, or run the course as they are showered with vibrant coloured powder. They can also raise sponsor money for any cause close to their hearts from a local PTA or community centre to a national charity.

Rest assured the event will adhere to COVID-19 government guidelines in place at the time.

KM Charity Team runs the annual event to fundraise for its literacy and green travel programmes for schools – Buster’s Book Club and Active Wow – but a huge 70% of participants’ sponsorship goes to their chosen charity.

On check-in, participants receive t-shirts, sunglasses, and small bags of coloured powder to throw. Be prepared for fun and laughter along with a bright shiny medal at the finish line!
