Waterstones are hosting an afternoon with the children’s author Jacqueline Wilson.

Waterstones presents an afternoon with beloved children’s author Jacqueline Wilson at the Winter Gardens in Margate  on Sunday 20th May at 2pm.

Come along and hear award-winning and bestselling children’s author discussing her career and new book Rose Rivers. Beautifully illustrated by Nick Sharratt, Rose Rivers is a brilliant new addition to Hetty Feather’s world.

Jacqueline Wilson is an extremely well-known and hugely popular author. The Illustrated Mum was chosen as British Children’s Book of the Year in 1999 and was winner of the Guardian Children’s Fiction Award 2000. Jacqueline has won the prestigious Smarties Prize and the Children’s Book Award for Double Act, which was also highly commended for the Carnegie Medal. In June 2002 Jacqueline was given an OBE for services to literacy in schools and in 2008 she was made a Dame.

Her most popular books include The Tracy Beaker series, Girls in Love series, Double Act, The suitcase Kid, The Lottie Project and more recently the Hetty Feathers series, to which this new book belongs.

Please note: There will be no book signing after the talk but there will be plenty of opportunities for children to ask questions. Copies of Rose Rivers along with other books by Jacqueline Wilson will be available to purchase from Waterstones on the day.
