Update on Faversham Creek Bridge

KCC has issued the following statement, outlining the current situation with the Faversham Creek bridge:

Faversham Creek – By way of an update, KCC are pleased to confirm that work remains on target to reopen Bridge Road during the week commencing January 20.

A temporary bridge will be installed on January 16 at approximately 1pm with the final stabilisation work planned soon after.

As part of the works a separate footbridge is also being installed to improve the safety of all pedestrians using this route.

Once these works are complete, there will be a period of down time while the installed materials cure.

This is required in order to achieve sufficient strength to allow pedestrians and traffic to safely pass over the bridge.

The road closure and associated diversion routes will be removed as part of the reopening of Bridge Road.

Please note these dates may be subject to change in the event of inclement or adverse weather conditions.
