A ticket to ride – Postponed

Sadly, A ticket to ride (Ashford’s Railway Trilogy) has been postponed due to the issues arising from the Covid-19 virus outbreak.  We are of course disappointed, but with Government guidelines now advising people not to attend theatre performances, and most theatres now closed, it does not seem feasible or advisable to continue with the event at the present time.

For ticket refunds or transfers you should contact Ashford Revelation https://revelationashford.co.uk/.

However, this is not the end of the line as the performances will now take place in April/May 2021, so there some light at the end of the tunnel:

Over the last 12 months The Company has collected over 40 hours of fascinating oral histories, recorded by local people about their own, and their families’ involvement with the railways.  From this source material we now have a play ready and waiting to be performed. In the meantime, we will be working alongside the Ashford Museum and Ashford Borough Council, to develop an interactive oral history exhibition of Ashford’s railway history. Also during this interlude, we will continue to work with the five community choirs (Ashford Community Choir, Ashford Invicta Singers, Sing Sure Community Choir Ashford, and Wayward Harmonies) and the Ashford Concert Band, who have all been enthusiastically preparing to sing and play in the performances.

The town of Ashford has been incredibly hospitable to The Company over the last year, and we hope that we will still produce a play that Ashford will always remember. Thanks has to be given to ABC and the Arts Council for their continuing support of this project.
