Suspended garden waste collections set to resume

Garden waste collections will shortly be resuming after the service was suspended over the winter.

Green bins will be emptied on the scheduled recycling day in either week commencing 25 February or 4 March, and then on the usual fortnightly basis after that.

Collections were suspended as part of a series of changes to the Serco contract designed to improve resilience across the service as a whole. Figures show the amount of garden waste collected drops off considerably during January and February.
