SUNSET SESSION: MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU

Dreamers, ravers, and space invaders rejoice – Dreamland’s Sunset Sessions return to Margate on Star Wars Day.

Dreamland Margate has announced the line-up for its first Sunset Session of the year, which will take place on Saturday 4th May (otherwise known as Star Wars Day — May The Fourth) with performances from DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Yoda, Huey Morgan and Boogie Storm.

Tickets are £10 + booking fee in advance, and include entry and access to rides, with special discounts for members.

This is an all ages event, but under 16 year olds must be accompanied by an adult aged 18+.

Headline act DJ Jazzy Jeff may be known as one of the stars of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but he is also a hip hop pioneer with three Grammy Awards, three American Music Awards, two NAACP Awards, two Soul Train Music Awards and an MTV Music Award to his name. From his early days in hip hop to forming his own production company “A Touch of Jazz”, Jeff remains a musical force to be reckoned with and his love of music shines through everything he does.

Keeping true to the Star Wars Day theme, Dreamland will also welcome multi award-winning hip hop producer DJ Yoda on 4th May. Widely respected as one of the most innovative DJs on the circuit, DJ Yoda has hit the decks at festivals and clubs around the world and has collaborated with classical composers, neuroscientists, The BFI, Banksy, and Mark Ronson.

Another legend taking the stage will be DJ, raconteur, author, producer, broadcaster and fun lovin’ criminal, Huey Morgan- a modern day rock’n’roll Renaissance man who joins the dots between funk, soul, disco, classic hip hop and rock’n’roll.

There will also be a specially curated performance from stormtrooper dance troupe and Britain’s Got Talent finalists Boogie Storm. Dressed head to toe in stormtrooper outfits, the six members of Boogie Storm deliver crushing dance routines so tight they’d impress Yoda himself. With more than 50 million YouTube hits to date, you could say that the force is strong with Boogie Storm. And you’d be right…
