A new stroke listening event  is taking place for Thanet. Register to have your say about the future of stroke services in Kent and Medway.

The event for Thanet to discuss stroke services will be held on Tue 10 April 2018, 19:00 – 21:00 and will be held at Ramsgate Football Club, Southwood Stadium, Ramsgate.

The NHS in Kent and Medway, Bexley in south east London and the High Weald area of East Sussex, is holding a public consultation on the future of urgent stroke services in Kent and Medway. The NHS is asking for people’s views on proposals to establish new 24/7 hyper acute stroke units in Kent and Medway. The consultation runs from Friday 2 February 2018 for 10 weeks until midnight on Friday 13 April 2018.

This listening event is an opportunity to find out more about how the consultation proposals were developed and to share your views with NHS leaders. Discussions from the listening events will be used to inform the next stage of the decision making process.

This event will also provide an opportunity to learn about the bigger picture for health and care across the East Kent area and potential options being considered.

Further details about the speakers and format of the event will be available on the website shortly: www.kentandmedway.nhs.uk/stroke
