Chelmsford City Council are looking for pieces of artwork or photography that are bright, colourful, vibrant and fun, to help create the Community Gallery which is once again to be located in the South Woodham Ferrers Library.

The Community Gallery will bring together a range of artwork and photography celebrating the local South Woodham Ferrers area. If you’re a budding artist or keen photographer, submit your work for a chance for it to be on display for all to see and enjoy.

This project, sponsored by Frames First, is open to everyone to enter and asks that entries are less than or equal to A4 in size, suitable for displaying in a frame and either inspired by or relate to South Woodham Ferrers. If you know someone whose work deserves to be shared and enjoyed by others, then tell them about the Community Gallery and encourage them to get involved.

Please send entries to SWF Library, Trinity Square, South Woodham Ferrers, CM3 5JU or to Community Engagement, Chelmsford City Council, Civic Centre, Duke Street, Chelmsford, CM1 1JE. Entries must be received by no later than 12pm on Monday 9 April. Your contact details, the title of the piece and age category for the submission must be included on the back of the entry.

After the closing date, Chelmsford City Council will review all the submissions and contact you if your artwork or photography is going to feature in the gallery. So get creative and showcase your artistic talents for the whole community to admire and enjoy!
