Shrove Tuesday Pancake Day 2018

Shrove Tuesday also known as Pancake Day always falls 47 days before Easter Sunday which means tomorrow we are 47 days away from Easter Sunday!

The following guide is an easy to follow recipe requiring items you should already have in your cupboards to celebrate Shrove Tuesday Pancake Day.

Ingredients:

• 125g of plain flour
• 2 eggs, medium sized
• 300ml of milk
• Pinch of salt

Method

• Pour the flour into a bowl and make a well in the middle
• Beat the eggs together with a fork, pour beaten eggs into the flour well and whisk together
• Gradually, add in the milk
• Chill the mixture in the fridge for around 30 minutes
• Grease a non-stick pan and ladle out your mixture – one ladle equals one pancake
• After a couple of minutes, give your pancake a jiggle and when it no longer sticks give it a flip to do the other side
• Now you can decorate your pancake with toppings of your choice. Lemon and sugar is a classic, or if you have more of a sweet tooth then nutella and banana is also a great choice!
