Showing The Way Ahead – New Walking & Cycling Leaflet Launched

If you’re looking for great ideas for walking or cycling adventures this summer, now is the perfect time to explore White Cliffs Country – as Dover District Council launches a vibrant new full-colour leaflet, complete with maps, to help show the way ahead.

The new walking and cycling leaflet includes something for everyone, with information on a range of routes and trails across the district, including:

• Dover’s Totems Walk to the White Cliffs
• Deal’s Historic Town Walk
• The Royal Marines Heritage Trail
• Sandwich’s Historic Town Trail
• The Chalk and Channel Way
• The Miners’ Way Cycle Trail
• The Skylark Trail.

There are also important safety tips and a list of useful contacts.

This is in addition to the new ‘Days Out’ leaflet and the ‘Visitor Guide’ for White Cliffs Country, which have also been produced and distributed, and help to provide a valuable resource to visitors and residents across the district.

Cllr MJ Holloway, DDC Cabinet Member for Community and Tourism, said: “With the summer holidays upon us, now is the perfect time to enjoy great days out in White Cliffs Country. The district is full of breathtaking scenery and fantastic places to visit, and what better way to enjoy it than by exploring the many walks and trails across the area. We are delighted to produce these new walking and cycling leaflets, and hope people find the easy- to-use format to be a breath of fresh air.”
