Sevenoaks – Free training that could save a life

lockdown

Sevenoaks District Council and Sevenoaks Community First Responders are providing free first aid and defibrillation training that could help save lives!

Being first aid trained can give people the confidence to help-out in difficult situations. This is especially true with the defibrillator training, as many people may not feel comfortable using these life-saving devices. The training will include how to deal with common scenarios like bleeding, burns, shock and respiratory emergencies.

Sevenoaks District Council’s Cabinet Member for People and Places, Cllr Lesley Dyball, says: “This free training is a great opportunity for residents to learn new skills that could help them in their career and, more importantly, even save a life.”

The training will take place on Saturday 2 November at the Sevenoaks District Council Offices in Argyle Road Sevenoaks, starting at 9.30am. Although the course is free, spaces must be booked in advance as they are limited. Residents should call 01732 227000 or email [email protected] to reserve their space. A £30 cancellation fee will apply if registered people do not attend.
