Appeal for witnesses of secure van robbery in Dartford

Kent police are appealing for any witnesses for a reported secure van robbery in Dartford on March 20th.

Detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are continuing to investigate the reported Secure van robbery of the van driver in Dartford.

Kent Police was called at 3.30pm on Tuesday 20 March to a report of a man being approached by two men who threatened him with a screwdriver and demanded he hand over a security box containing a significant quantity of cash.

The incident was reported to have happened near a supermarket in The Orchards Shopping Centre.

Dark 4×4

The victim handed over the box and the suspects were reported to have left the scene in a dark-coloured 4×4 which was being driven by a third man.

The two suspects were described as wearing black face masks. One man is described as wearing black or blue trousers, black trainers and a beige jacket with a fur-lined hood. He was also described as being around 5ft 8in and of medium to heavy build.

The second man was described as wearing a blue hooded top with blue trousers and blue trainers.

A man driving the vehicle was described as white and wearing a black puffer style coat with a black hat and white gloves.
