Have Your Say In Shaping Aylesham’s Bus Services

Aylesham residents have a chance to shape future bus services in a survey launched at the beginning of July by the parish council and Dover District Council.

The first raft of money to promote better bus services in Aylesham has become available as part of the Section 106 agreement with Barratt Homes and Persimmon Homes, builders of the Aylesham Garden Village development.  This payment is worth £220,000 and two further similar payments are expected as the development continues to take shape during the next few years.

The survey can be found online at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/KC9KDTB or you can pick up a hard copy from the parish council office in Dorman Avenue South, Aylesham Health Centre or the Co-op, both in Market Place, or Bechange Community Hub on the Workshop Project site in Ackholt Road. Completed forms can be placed in collecting boxes at these locations.

The survey highlights the current cost of bus fares from the village to Dover and asks people to indicate which types of transport they use to get around the area and for what purpose.

Residents and people working in Aylesham are welcome to take part – the survey closes on Friday 13 September.
