Say No to Parking Charges in Westgate!

A public meeting was held last night at the Westgate Pavilion to discuss the proposed parking changes that will include 6 new parking meters (estimated to cost around £3,000 each) in the town of Westgate.

A strong turn out of residents from Westgate and Birchington came to the meeting to voice their concern at the damaging affect this will have on the towns shops and businesses.

CommunityAd are against these Parking Charges!

The final deadline for consultation is 29th May and many of the Councillors who spoke last night carried the same message that we have to fight and protest against these charges.

Please send a letter or email to make your opinions and comments known to Thanet District Council, if you require further details please visit the Town Council website or visit our Town Council office where they have a copy of the documents for Amendment 17 for reference and public inspection.
