The play equipment at Bidbury Mead has been refreshed just in time for the school holidays.

Residents will find a reinstalled zip wire, climbing net, tire and basket swing – bringing more fun and excitement to the play area.

The work, undertaken by Norse South East (NSE) on behalf of Havant Borough Council, was necessary after equipment was found to be unsafe due to vandalism and wear and tear.

Equipment at Bidbury Mead has been reinstated and should make it even more fun for children to enjoy – as well as giving the area a new lease of life, benefiting the local community.

Councillor Tim Pike, Cabinet Lead for Planning, Regeneration and Communities, said: “Bidbury Mead play area is a popular community facility and I’m pleased that it has now been restored.

“With the summer school holidays now in full swing, there has never been a better to time to visit the park.”

NSE carry out weekly checks of the borough’s play areas and are always on the lookout for issues, including those which could impact safety.
