Popular kids’ scheme Play in the Park began again yesterday (Tuesday 24 July 2018) to provide all kinds of fun sports, games, arts and crafts to the children of Chelmsford for the summer holidays.

Each two-hour long session is led by a team of friendly Playworkers, who are specially trained to ensure that every child can enjoy all the Play in the Park activities in the safest possible environment. Selected sessions will also feature special ‘extra’ activities, which include hands-on animal workshops, bouncy castles and even parkour lessons with qualified professionals!

Play in the Park is enormously popular. At Easter, over 600 children came along to sessions to enjoy quality time outdoors.

There are almost 80 sessions planned on weekdays between now and 24 August, taking place at 20 different parks in Chelmsford, South Woodham Ferrers and the surrounding villages. With a varied programme, there are bound to be sessions ideal for your child which are conveniently located close to you.

The scheme is tailored for children aged three to 11 years, but some sessions will be supported by local children’s centres who can accommodate younger children. Keep an eye online for more details at www.chelmsford.gov.uk/play

You don’t need to book a place but you can register your child’s details with Play in the Park to fast-track registration when you arrive. Register and download the full programme at visit www.chelmsford.gov.uk/play.
