Oh no, it’s the Gruffalo at Kent Life

Fireworks Spectacular

A popular children’s character will return to Kent Life Heritage Farm Park near Maidstone later this month.

The Gruffalo will meet visitors to the award-winning attraction throughout Sunday, September 24 following a successful event last year.

Since The Gruffalo was first published in 1999, the enchanting story of his encounter with the little brown mouse in the deep dark wood has continued to delight children and adults the world over.

Kent Life General Manager, Natalie Cox, says: “After his highly successful debut last year, everyone at Kent Life is looking forward to welcoming the Gruffalo back to meet his young fans.”

Kent Life is a real working farm, so there are plenty of other animals to see during your visit, including pigs, sheep, ducks, goats, alpacas and horses, all living in 28 acres of glorious countryside. Youngsters have plenty to do, including feeding the farm animals, stroking smaller animals in Cuddle Corner, rides and having fun in the indoor and outdoor play areas.

Visitors can wander through historic buildings in the Vintage Village; explore the gardens; ramble along the wildlife discovery trail; and see the last working coal-fired oast house in Britain.

Admission prices: adults £9.95; children £7.95 (aged 3-15); concessions £8.95; family day pass (two adults and two children) £29.95. Members and under-threes go free. Book online in advance and save 15%. A small additional charge applies to some activities.

Opening times: 10am to 5pm, last admission 4pm.

Kent Life is in Sandling, near Maidstone, just off J6 of the M20. For details visit www.kentlife.org.uk or call 01622 763936.
