Do you want to find out more about community-led housing?

Following on from the successful full day conference in June, Dover District Council are hosting a mini conference on:

Friday 15th November 

1pm to 6pm

Dover District Council offices, Whitfield CT16 3PJ. 

The conference will start with a buffet lunch at 1pm for a 1.45pm start.

The mini conference aims to provide help for community groups and individuals to progress ideas for community-led housing.

The agenda for the afternoon will include expert presentations from leading charity organisation Locality and successful community housing group, Bunker Housing Co-op.

Bunker Housing Co-op are from the Brighton & Hove Community Land Trust and have already successfully completed one community housing project and are now in the throes of further developments! They will be sharing information on what has worked for their project and will be available for questions on the day. Do not miss out of this fantastic opportunity for peer to peer support!

All are welcome at an exciting afternoon of mini workshops, it is free to attend but pre-booking is essential.

Drop-In Sessions

We are committed to providing information and support for anyone who is interested in community-led housing. As part of this commitment we are hosting a number of informal Drop-In Sessions where you can come along and find out about the basics of community-led housing and where you can go to find out more information.

Come and have a chat over a cup of tea with a Community Housing Programme officer and find out how community-led housing could benefit your local community. Our next Drop-In Sessions will be:

Training

The first part of the Writing ‘Winning’ Funding Applications course took place on Saturday 7th September at Westmarsh Village Hall. It was a very successful morning with lots of exciting learning taking place. Kathy Roddy from MVA led the session and will be back to complete the second part of the training course on Saturday 21st September. Thank you to all those who attended part 1 and we look forward to meeting everyone again soon for part 2.
