New Senior Appointment in Adults and Health

West Sussex County Council has appointed an interim Executive Director for Adults and Health.

Alan Adams is a highly talented Director of Adult Social Services. He brings a wealth of experience from almost 20 years’ of working in local government. He has had a number of senior roles across the country and has an established reputation in the sector.

Alan will take up the position previously held by Kim Curry, who has left West Sussex County Council for personal reasons.

Becky Shaw, the Chief Executive said:

“I am delighted to welcome Alan to the team at West Sussex and am sure he will make an significant contribution as we support our residents during these challenging times for us all. All of our front-line staff are working incredibly hard to support  our residents but given the pressure of Covid-19 on adults’ services in particular, Alan’s leadership will be invaluable.

“I would like to thank Kim Curry for her hard work and commitment during her time with us and wish her all the best for the future.”
