Meet bugs, grubs and Lydia Greenfingers Author Joseph Hopkins at Kent Life

Halloween Spooktacular

The hugely popular Bugs and Grubs Weekend returns to Kent Life Heritage Farm Park on 17-18 March, with a full programme of bug-themed activities and animal encounters at the award-winning Maidstone attraction.

Get up close to nature as you join the bug-hunters to discover all the mini-beasts living there. Take the nature trail to find as many hidden creatures as you can and marvel at creepy crawlies such as African land snails, scorpions, stick insects and tarantulas! You can even make your own mini-beast house to take home and place in your garden.

Plus there’s a chance to meet Kent-based author Joseph Hopkins who will be reading extracts from his popular children’s book, Lydia Greenfingers.

Kent Life is also a real working farm set in 28 acres of rolling countryside so there are plenty of animals to see including pigs, sheep, ducks, goats, alpacas, and hopefully the first of our new-born spring lambs.

Kids can meet some smaller furry friends in Cuddle Corner, take part in animal feeding sessions, go wild in the large indoor soft play area, enjoy fun farm rides, get creative in our paint-a-pot studio*, have a go on the bouncy castle and much more.

Visitors can also wander through period dressed historic buildings in the Vintage Village; explore the gardens and orchard; and see the last remaining coal-fired oast house in Britain. Then take a break in the newly-refurbished Dotty’s tea room to enjoy a hot drink and tasty homemade cake.

There’s plenty for the whole family to do, whatever the weather!

Admission prices for the Bugs and Grubs Weekend are £9.95 adults, £8.25 children (age 3-15), £8.95 concessions, family (two adults and two children) £32.95. Under-threes and members go free. Book online today and save 15% off these prices!

Opening times: 10am to 5pm (last admission 4pm).
