Lewes District Council has submitted the Lewes Local Plan Part 2 to the Secretary of State for independent examination.

This follows a six-week consultation on the draft Lewes Local Plan Part 2 in the autumn.

A planning inspector will be appointed to examine this document which allocates land for residential and employment uses, and sets out policies to guide development in Lewes district outside the National Park in the period up to 2030.

If found sound, the Lewes Local Plan Part 2 can be adopted by Lewes District Council.

All submission documents can be viewed at www.lewes-eastbourne.gov.uk/lpp2-examination.

Alternatively, hard copies of the key documents are available at all local libraries and the council offices at Southover House, Southover Road, Lewes, BN7 1AB.
