Mid-term review for the Leader’s

  • Supporting neighbourhoods
  • Promoting inward investment and job creation
  • A clean and welcoming environment

Cllr Wells said:

“When we came to power we understood that stability was needed to enable a transformation in the way the council worked. This mid-term review shows that positive transformation is exactly what is happening.

“There has been real progress against corporate priorities since 2015, at a time when central government has reduced our income by some 40%. In order to balance the books this year, we had to save £2.6m and still managed to get unanimous approval of our 2017/18 budget.

“We will continue to drive positive transformation for all those who live, work and learn in the district. There are more challenging times ahead and still lots to be done but we will continue on our journey to improve services for Thanet.”
